Chinese paraglider pilot successfully flies over Mount Everest

Mount Everest
Li Shengtao (Muzi) successfully flew from the South Col of Everest (8,000m) this morning, 18 May, landing safely back at base camp on his BGD Anda.
This is also the second parachute flight permit issued by the Nepalese government in the history of Mount Everest. Obtaining a paraglider flight permit for Mount Everest in Nepal is not easy. This requires a government authorized paraglider instructor to evaluate and assess the applicant’s flying ability in addition to the climbing permit for Mount Everest before they have the opportunity to obtain it. It is reported that this year, in addition to the Bosden team, other Chinese and European teams have also applied for flight permits, but they have been rejected due to flight capability and other reasons.
