OZONE ZEOLITE 2: EN-D X-ALPS WING

Ozone have released the Zeolite 2, the lightweight EN-D which was developed from their 2023 Red Bull X-Alps competition wing.
Ozone say: “It is our lightest high-performance wing”, and weighs just 2.72kg in size XS. The Zeolite 2 GT, which is a more robust version of it, was released at the end of August 2023.
Ozone say the Zeolite 2’s new cell opening position has helped them make progress in the areas of speed and handling. The Zeolite 2 remains the same weight as the previous version but with higher performance.
PRODUCT INFO
The Zeolite 2 proved its worth in the 2023 X-Alps, on the podium and at the finish line. It is our lightest high-performance wing, designed for pilots who need the absolute minimum in weight and maximum in performance for the most demanding vol-biv missions and hike & fly competitions. The Zeolite 2 is made with a full 10D top surface, and Dyneema risers.
The Design
The profile has evolved to include the latest progress we’ve made in the areas of speed and handling. Principally, the benefits have come from a new cell opening position.
The aspect ratio is slightly increased, but still moderate for the category and has proved to be comfortable in strong alpine conditions. The cell count is increased by 7, which improves the sail cohesion in turbulent air, improves the handling, and increases performance whilst maintaining the same weight as the original Zeolite.
In Flight
Passive safety and collapse behavior has been improved via better chordwise line support at the rear of the wing. Despite the improved support, total line drag is less than its predecessor. A new spanwise architecture is made entirely of 3-cell bridges, similar to the Photon. This allows the best diagonal panel ratio for the amount of line attachments, which maintains light weight while increasing efficiency.
Colour Options

The new version has a slightly increased aspect ratio compared to the original Zeolite, and Ozone say is has proved to be comfortable in strong alpine conditions. The rear of the wing has “better line support” to help improve passive safety and collapse behaviour. Ozone say that total line drag is less than on the predecessor, even with this additional support.
The Zeolite 2 is for demanding vol-bivouac missions and hike-and-fly competitions, and pilots who need the “absolute minimum in weight”. It is available in four sizes from XS to ML, which cover a weight range of 60-105kg.
