Mac Para Launches Elixir — High EN-C Two-Liner Nearing EN-D Performance

Mac Para Elixir

Mac Para has released the Elixir, a high-performance two-liner positioned at the top end of the EN-C category. The wing is aimed at XC pilots stepping up from traditional EN-C wings, competition and sports class flyers, and hike-and-fly enthusiasts who want a wing capable of serious performance without stepping into EN-D territory.

Mac Para’s stated aim was to create a wing that delivers performance approaching EN-D levels while keeping a compact design, forgiving handling and the passive safety of an EN-C. Within Mac Para’s lineup, the Elixir slots between the Verve and the Magus competition wing.

The Elixir shares the proven Nitinol reinforcements and internal structure of the Verve, with an increased cell count and a more refined high-performance aerofoil. Key figures: an aspect ratio of 6.68, improved efficiency in weak thermals, higher top speed and better glide at speed. Technical highlights include an efficient two-line architecture minimising line drag, nitinol reinforcements for long-term profile stability, and strong collapse resistance.

The wing is offered in four sizes and weighs 4kg in size 22 (80-88kg).
