Skyman Unveils CrossAlps 3 — Lightweight EN-C Built for XC and Hike-and-Fly

Skyman CrossAlps 3

Skyman has launched the CrossAlps 3, an EN-C paraglider designed for ambitious cross-country pilots who want a blend of performance, passive safety and lightweight construction. The wing tips the scales at 3.6kg in size 22 — light enough for serious hike-and-fly missions yet capable enough for efficient long-distance XC flying.

Tester Erwin Voogt flew the CrossAlps 3 at the Kosseen festival and reported that it “thermals nicely and on speed it’s fast.”

The three-line layout balances performance with a high level of passive safety. Nitinol rods provide what Skyman describes as “exceptional profile stability,” while miniribs at the trailing edge reduce drag and nitinol-reinforced miniribs at the leading edge optimise aerodynamic efficiency. Easy launch characteristics, precise handling and an efficient C-handle control system complete the package.

“The Skyman CrossAlps 3 is the perfect choice for pilots looking for a high-performance XC wing whose capabilities are not only impressive on paper, but can be fully accessed and enjoyed in real flying conditions,” says Skyman. The wing has 63 cells and an aspect ratio of 6.1.

Available in three sizes and three colour variants, the CrossAlps 3 is ready for everything from a weekend XC mission to a multi-day Alpine adventure.
