BGD Kiss 2: A Mountain Wing That Flies Both as Paraglider and Parakite

BGD has released the Kiss 2, a lightweight mountain wing that can effortlessly switch between a conventional paraglider and a parakite — all thanks to an innovative convertible riser system.

Weighing between 1.8kg and 2.6kg with an aspect ratio of 4.7, the Kiss 2 is aimed squarely at hike-and-fly enthusiasts, mountain pilots and anyone seeking a lightweight wing that can handle stronger conditions via its parakite mode.

The standout feature is BGD’s new convertible PG/PK riser set. In standard PG mode, the Kiss 2 flies as a regular paraglider with conventional brakes and speed system. Pilots can switch to PK mode in just two steps — after which the brakes take over the full speed range of the wing, eliminating the need for a speed bar. At hands-up in PK mode, the wing sits at the equivalent of full speed bar in PG mode.

BGD has deliberately kept the top speed moderate rather than matching the radical characteristics of some dedicated parakites, making the Kiss 2 an accessible entry point into this exciting style of flying. The lightweight build also means easy inflation and excellent slow-speed and flare behaviour for landing in tight mountain spots.

The wing ships with a roll-top inner bag designed to slide into a compact mountain rucksack — making it ideal for pilots who want to travel light without sacrificing performance.

For pilots heading to the mountains with lightweight kit, a quality Fast Pack Bag is the perfect way to keep everything organised on the move.

Two sizes are available now: the 19m² (EN-A, 55–95kg) and the 16m² (EN-A 50–80kg, EN-B 80–90kg). Two additional sizes — 13 and 22 — are in the pipeline.
