The Harness Simulator Train Smarter, Fly Safer

Every paragliding instructor knows: airtime is precious and expensive. The YOWFLY Paragliding Harness Simulator lets students build essential skills on the ground—so they arrive at their first flights with better muscle memory, greater confidence, and fewer bad habits to unlearn.

What Is a Harness Simulator?

A ground-based training tool that replicates the experience of sitting in a paragliding harness—without leaving the ground. Students practice body position, weight shifting, and control inputs in a safe, controlled environment.

What Students Learn

Weight Shifting Technique
Practice shifting body weight left and right repeatedly, building instinctive responses needed in the air—without the pressure of managing a live wing.

Harness Familiarity
Many new pilots feel awkward and tense in their harness during early flights. Ground time helps them relax into the seated position and find their natural center of gravity.

Control Input Coordination
Practice coordinating brake inputs with weight shifting, developing smooth, coordinated movements.

Emergency Procedure Rehearsal
Instructors can walk students through emergency scenarios in a calm environment where mistakes have no consequences.

Benefits for Paragliding Schools

Accelerated Learning
Students who train on the simulator before first flights show faster skill development and reach competency sooner.

Safer First Flights
A student who understands harness position arrives at their first flight with one less thing to think about.

Year-Round Training
Weather grounds flights. The simulator doesn’t. Keep students progressing on bad weather days.

Efficient Instructor Time
Run simulator sessions with multiple students simultaneously.

The Simulator Installation and display

Installation: Quick and simple setup—ready in just 5 minutes.
Note: The riser shackles require a tilted installation for proper alignment.
Requirement: Must be suspended from a heavy-duty, sturdy structure capable of supporting the full weight of the pilot and gear.

The simulator also serves as an excellent shop display tool. Customers can try on harnesses in a realistic seated position, helping them make better purchasing decisions.

Dual-purpose investment: training tool + sales aid in one

Frequently Asked Questions About the Paragliding Harness Simulator

What is a paragliding harness simulator?

A paragliding harness simulator is a ground-based training tool that replicates the experience of sitting in a paragliding harness — without leaving the ground. It allows students and pilots to practice body position, weight shifting, brake control, and emergency procedures in a safe, controlled environment before taking to the air.

Can the simulator be used for paramotoring (PPG) as well?

Yes! The YOWFLY Harness Simulator is suitable for both paragliding (PG) and paramotoring (PPG). It supports the full range of body positions and control inputs needed for both disciplines, making it a versatile training tool for any free-flight school.

What skills can I practice on the harness simulator?

You can practice weight shifting technique (left and right body movement), harness familiarity (finding your natural center of gravity and relaxing into the seated position), control input coordination (combining brake inputs with weight shift), and emergency procedure rehearsal — all in a zero-risk environment where mistakes have no consequences.

How long does it take to set up the simulator?

Installation is quick and simple — the simulator is ready in just 5 minutes. Note that the riser shackles require a tilted installation for proper alignment. The simulator must be suspended from a heavy-duty, sturdy structure capable of supporting the full weight of the pilot and gear.

Can the simulator be used as a shop display?

Absolutely! The simulator serves a dual purpose: it’s both a training tool and a sales aid. Paragliding & Paramotoring Harness Simulator | Ground Training Equipment
I bought this paragliding harness simulator to fine-tune my pod harness geometry and practice reserve deployment drills at home, and it has completely exceeded my expectations.
The build quality is rock-solid. The frame and attachment points feel exceptionally sturdy and handle full body weight without any flex or creaking. Hanging my harness feels identical to being in the air—allowing me to dial in my chest strap width, speed system line length, and pod angle with millimeter precision before ever stepping foot on a launch site.
Practicing reserve throw drills on this simulator is invaluable. Being able to hang suspended, go through the mental checklist, reach for the handle under tension, and practice clean extractions builds real muscle memory. It’s also fantastic for static ground handling practice, simulator-based SIV mental rehearsal, and hanging gear in the garage or at exhibition booths to test different setups.

Paragliding & Paramotoring Harness Simulator | Ground Training Equipment
Nice!
I bought this harness hanger system and I love it!
The communication with customer support has been very good !
The shipping was very fast and done using UPS so that went without a glitch. Three days from order to delivery.
In the picture “Shackle Solution” you can see that I have substituted the twisted shackles with two normal shackles. In order to get them to fit better I have made some 3D printed parts (PETG) and spacers.
I do believe that like this will be better.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely!

 Hi,Mauro Fonseca.
We’re very sorry for the unsatisfactory shopping experience. Please allow us to clarify your concerns:
 1. Regarding the price paid: Due to the simulator’s large dimensions and UPS shipping, the freight cost is quite high. The shipping fee of 24.8 euros you paid is actually insufficient to cover our actual expenses. We can provide the original shipping invoice for your reference if needed.
 2. Regarding the assembly video: In fact, the first video on our product page is the assembly tutorial. Please kindly check it at your convenience.
Please feel free to contact us anytime if you have further questions.
